This privacy policy sets out how L&H Lasercrafts uses and protects the information that you provide when you use this website, or purchase from us via Etsy, Ebay or in person.
L&H Lasercrafts is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Information We Collect
In order to fulfil your order, you will need to provide us with certain information such as your name, email address, postal address and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide additional personal information (for example if you are ordering a personalsied item). With the exception of orders placed in person at events, this information is collected via third parties such as Etsy, Paypal, Ebay, GoDaddy, Royal Mail and other couriers and Stripe and each of these companies will have their own Privacy Policies in place to ensure your data is protected: links to these are provided at the end of this document.
We have no access to or hold any payment information such as bank and card details, these are given solely to the above third party businesses.
Why We Need Your Information and it is Used
We rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
as needed to provide services, such as fulfilling your orders, settling disputes and providing customer support.
if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law.
as necessary for the purpose of our legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving our services and to provide the services you requested 2) Compliance with the Third Party Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Information about our customers is important to our business ad we will share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
Paypal: as necessary to provide you with our services and comply with our obligations under both the Paypal Seller Policy and Paypal Terms of Use. Can be utilised via our website, Ebay, Etsy or in person via our card machine at fairs and events.
Other service providers: we engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to our business, such as delivery companies. Your personal information will be shared with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services eg. to deliver items to your address.
Wix: used to host our website. Information about your order and who/where to ship it to will be collected. No payment details are available to us via this platform.
SumUp: for orders placed through Wix, PayPal or Sumup are used to process payments, We do not have access to any card or bank details used for these transactions.
Etsy and Ebay: to collect information about your order and where to ship it to.
Couriers: in order to send your completed items out for delivery we will need share your name and delivery address.
Business transfers: if we ever decide to sell or merge our business, we may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
Compliance with laws: we may collect, use, retain, and share your information if we have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce our agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of our customers, or others.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and as described in our Privacy Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with certain legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. We will generally keep your data for no longer than 5 years.
How Your Data is Stored
Your data is only printed out to aid in the completion of your order and will be shipped, or given to you, with your order when collected and no physical copies will be left. The only paper items with your data on that we keep for any longer are proofs of postage and tracking receipts as these aid us should any problems arise with missing orders, and duplicate sheets from manual orders which are taken offline eg. at fairs or over social media platforms it an item isn't listed elsewhere (eg. custom items). We hold these in a lockable storage cabinet.
Digital data is stored on password protected PC’s, via the platforms in which you purchase. These platforms are also password protected. We can also access your data via these platforms from our phones and these are also password protected.
Photographic Data
As a business focusing on handmade items, from time to time we will use photographs of completed items for advertising and promotional purposes as our business; L&H Lasercrafts Ltd owns the rights to the designs. If items do have a larger than normal amount of personal data, eg. A commemorative box, express permission to use the image on social media and our selling platforms will be sought first. You also have the right to request that images containing personal information be removed or, where possible, for the sensitive information to be sanitised to remove the personal data. From time to time we may also offer discounts in exchange for use of images of the final items, in such circumstances, by accepting the offer you are agreeing to this condition however this will always be made very clear prior to a contract being drawn up and the order completing.
Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases: these rights are described below:
Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the contact information below.
Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict our use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where we are required to store data for legal reasons). Where possible, we will generally delete your personal information upon request.
Object: you can object to (i) our processing of some of your information based on our legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from us after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, we will delete your personal information unless we have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
Complain: if you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about our use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
