The name is based on mine and my now husband's surnames at the time (Lewis & Henderson) and came about because,  after being engaged for 7 years, we finally decided to set a date for our wedding and set about looking for suppliers to help bring our ideas to life. Unfortunately, having opted to combine classic Minis, birds and flowers as our theme, (not a very common or traditional choice!) we soon hit a brick wall so to speak in trying to find anyone able to make exactly what we had in mind, so, as you do, we decided to buy a laser cutter and have a go at making our own! I should maybe add at this point that we had been considering setting up a business for a couple of years prior to this so it wasn't quite a spur of the moment decision, though still a very steep learning curve as neither myself or John had a background in graphic design, crafting/manufacturing/retail or had ever used a laser before for that matter either!

Luckily, we're both very patient and don't like to give up so immediately set about sourcing suppliers, designing and testing and eventually started bringing some of our ideas to life, all of which took waaaay longer than we'd thought - my first heart shaped place setting took 4 hours to design and cut out to the point that we were happy with it, and my first bottle box 8 hours! I'm pleased to say we've come a long way since then!

After spending much of our first year, after getting married of course, focusing on wedding items and sourcing reliable suppliers and in Summer 2017 we set about designing a much wider product range for all occasions and promoting them at local fairs and markets, and although we've still got many more ideas and a long way to go, we're loving it, especially when we get asked to do something a little different to the norm and have been pleased with the really positive feedback and comments we've received so far, so thank you to all our customers for helping keep us going, it really is very much appreciated :-)
